HydroGlow Facial: What Happens During Our 16-Step Treatment?

What the HydroGlow Facial Is
The HydroGlow Facial is a comprehensive 16-step treatment designed to deeply cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate and refresh the skin. Rather than a single technique, it layers several technologies and professional skincare steps into one sequence.
It is one of the most requested treatments at our Noble Park clinic, and it is particularly popular with clients who want a visible refresh without downtime — including before events.
Why the Sequence Matters
A facial is not simply a list of steps performed in any order. The order is the treatment. Cleansing prepares the skin so active steps can work evenly. Exfoliation clears the surface so hydration can penetrate. Technology steps are placed where they will be best tolerated, and protective steps come last so the barrier is left supported rather than stripped.
The 16 Steps, Stage by Stage
Stage 1 — Cleanse and Prepare
1. First cleanse — lifts makeup, sunscreen and surface debris.
2. Second cleanse — a deeper cleanse of the skin itself, not just the surface.
3. Skin toning — restores comfort and prepares the skin for the steps that follow.
4. Exfoliation — removes dead surface cells so the complexion looks and feels smoother.
5. Pore preparation — softens congestion so the coming steps can clear the pores effectively.
Stage 2 — Deep Clearing
6. Hydrodermabrasion — a controlled, water-based resurfacing pass that lifts debris from the skin while delivering hydration.
7. Ultrasonic skin scrubber — uses gentle ultrasonic vibration to help clear congestion and refine the surface.
Stage 3 — Replenish
8. Oxygenating gel — a cooling, oxygenating layer applied to refresh the skin.
9. Hydrating serum infusion — hydrating actives are infused into the skin to replenish moisture and support the barrier.
Stage 4 — Firm and Tone
10. Multipolar radiofrequency — gentle radiofrequency warmth is used to support firmness and tone, and to encourage collagen activity.
11. BIO microcurrent — low-level microcurrent is used to support muscle tone and a lifted look.
Stage 5 — Finish and Protect
12. Hydrating face mask — a mask is applied so hydrating ingredients can continue working.
13. Cold hammer therapy — cool therapy soothes the skin and helps reduce any redness or puffiness.
14. Hydration mist — a fine mist restores comfort and leaves the skin feeling fresh.
15. Moisturiser — seals in hydration and supports the skin barrier.
16. SPF protection — the final step, because protecting the work you have just had done is as important as the treatment itself.
No downtime: mild pinkness may last an hour, then the skin is typically ready to be seen.
Who May Consider the HydroGlow Facial
- Dull, dehydrated or congested skin
- Skin that looks tired, tight or lacking in radiance
- First-time facial clients wanting a thorough but comfortable introduction
- Anyone wanting a glow before an event, with no downtime
- Clients who prefer a treatment that combines several technologies in one session
Who It May Not Suit
The HydroGlow Facial is not appropriate on broken, sunburned or infected skin, or with active cold sores. During pregnancy, your practitioner will adjust the infusion serums used. If you have a skin condition that is currently flaring, your practitioner will advise whether to postpone treatment or modify the protocol.
What to Expect During Your Appointment
At HiSculpt, your practitioner will begin with a brief skin assessment and cleanse before working through the protocol, explaining each stage as it happens. The treatment is comfortable and unhurried — expect a mix of warm sensations during the radiofrequency stage, cooling during the cold hammer step, and a great deal of relaxation in between.
Aftercare
Because there is no downtime, aftercare is straightforward:
- Continue with SPF 50+ daily
- Keep your evening routine simple and gentle on the day of treatment
- Avoid strong active ingredients (retinoids, AHAs, BHAs) that evening
- Drink water and keep the skin moisturised
- Avoid intense heat, saunas and steam for the rest of the day
How Often Should You Have One?
Monthly sessions are recommended to maintain results long term, with your practitioner adjusting the interval to suit your skin. Some clients book around events or seasonally as their skin changes — for example, when heating or air-conditioning leaves the skin feeling tight.
If your main concern is ongoing dullness, our article on why skin can look dull covers both everyday habits and in-clinic options, and how to maintain healthy skin between treatments covers the at-home routine that supports results.
